Student Work
Based on your students' work: "Ancestors Student Work", it was evident that you have provided a great interview project for the students to find out their ancestral history. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to learn about their individual cultural heritage and subsequently enhance their knowledge and understanding of each other's diverse culture as each student tried to dig deeper about their parents, grandparents, uncles, etc. personal and cultural resume and ancestral backgrounds. This activity was certainly relevant to students' lives, aligned to competencies of a globally responsive classroom. The students became more aware of their familial standpoints and tendencies and had developed intercultural awareness and self-awareness about how their culture relates to how they live and conduct themselves in the society.
Student Reflection/Final Reflection
I commend you for allowing your students to be engaged in an investigation to dig deeper to uncover their personal identity and be able to unwrap their ideas and thoughts about the activity in their student ancestor reflection. This showed how the activity had made them realized the significant connection of their family's history that would seemingly shape up their own future. It was also notable that you were able to make learning more enjoyable and meaningful to the students as they learned their heritage and how their different cultures impact learning at school.

Hi, Ms. T! Please check also the settings of your student work and student reflection because I can't access both of them and that is the same with your lesson plan. I think you need to review the restrictions on access. Thanks.

Student Work
I like how you narrow down your lesson for your students in a simple yet meaningful way for them to learn their personal identity and cultural background through the inspiration of the poem by George Ella Lyon entitled, "Where I'm From". You were able to unfold unique ideas and imagination of your students in this lesson and by doing so, they were able also to uncover their diverse culture and promote intercultural knowledge and understanding, when students think about where they came from in a different way through a figurative language which directed them to think critically about how they can compare themselves which also generates self-awareness and creativity.
Student Reflection/Final Reflection
I want to compliment you for focusing your students' learning with what they can describe themselves and try to dig deeper and investigate other students distinctive qualities which allowed them to discover intercultural awareness and foster respect of people's differences. In the same manner, the students were able to connect and build a relationship when they became mindful of students' cultural differences as reflected in their choices to represent themselves.
Final Reflection
I like how you discover a new way of unraveling the cultural understanding of your students by going beyond the iceberg analogy and making it more intentional by looking for those unseen parts of cultural heritage such as beliefs, values, morals, etc. than just teaching the typical aspects such as food, music, clothing, etc. It was really amazing that you were able to tackle this lesson and activity with your students that emanate a great deal of learning the other aspects of culture that are invisible, existing only in the realms of thoughts, feelings, and beliefs and how the values and beliefs you cannot see can affect the behavior of individuals.

Student Work/Reflection
Hi, Ms. A! I find it interesting to sit in your class while you read with your kids and tackle the lesson about the different cultures in those countries found in the books that your students are reading. I can tell that your students are eager to learn despite some difficulty. You have a good command of the language that you are teaching with them. Just continue to explore some resources for them to enhance the global competencies so that aside from focusing on the physical feature of the country your studying with them you can also foster empathy, global-mindedness, and connection. I like that you put emphasis or strong value on learning about the world or other countries and by doing so you were able to develop your students' curiosity and global knowledge and understanding which was deliberate or more intentional in the video of your student reflection.
Final Reflection
